This week at auction we’re featuring books from the private collection of an avid magic collector. Many of the books up for bid have been personally signed and inscribed to this collector by greats such as Darwin Ortiz, Karl Fulves and Andrew Galloway.

(1970) “The Magic of Robert Harbin” by Peter Warlock, Signed, Limited Edition
Limited Edition copy, signed by the author, Peter Warlock. The star of the show for this auction is this very rare copy of Warlock’s “The Magic of Robert Harbin”, being number 171 of 500. This was meant for private circulation only. After this book was published all of the illustrated plates that describe the workings of Harbin’s illusions were destroyed. To purchase this book, one had to send for a prospectus and sign a legal document agreeing to keep the secrets. The owner would only be allowed to build things for their own use.
